Academy Awards, lyrics

1960 was The Five Pennies in the category "Best Song" for a Oscar nomination. However, the award went to Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen for their song High Hopes from the comedy movie One Size Too Big .

The song is about 5 pennies, which are the beginning of making wishes come true. The little glittering and shining pennies, the clink of which sounds like a whistle and makes you laugh, that makes you forget that tears have been shed. This penny shows how important love is, because where there is love, there is also heaven. Five pennies could be the start of becoming a millionaire.
