biography

The Hacker began making music at the age of 17, initially based on Duran Duran. Dark electro followed in the style of Cabaret Voltaire and DAF . Then a cut took place and he briefly switched to the genre hardcore techno, where he appeared together with Benedikt Bollini as XMF. In 1995 he began to develop his own style, which can be classified as Detroit techno. In collaboration with his girlfriend Caroline Hervé (Miss Kittin), he published the pieces 1982 and Frank Sinatra on International Deejay Gigolos in 1998 . According to his own statement, these were only intended as fun projects. Label owner DJ Hell made the recordings known in Germany and they became a huge success for the duo. After a long delay, the debut album First Album was released in 2001 , on which other titles by the duo in a special electro-pop style can be found. After the US tour in 2002, both decided to put the collaboration on hold for the time being. In 2007 the two of them again produced productions with Hometown and Dimanche .

In addition, he worked intensively as a remixer and his publications as a solo artist also received attention.
