The Hazards are a mountain range in the east of the Australian state of Tasmania . The wild area is in Freycinet National Park on the east coast, east of Swansea , between Coles Bay and Wineglass Bay .
Mount Amos and Mount Dove are the most famous peaks. A path leads from the beach of Wineglas Bay to the neighboring Mount Amos.

They are named after a local whaler, the African-American Captain Richard Hazard .

The Hazards are made of granite with pink feldspar , an orthoclase that gives the mountains their pink color.
