The James Boys was an English pop - duo in the mid- 1970s with some songs success in the German charts had. The biggest hit was the 1973 single Over and Over .
biography
The brothers Bradley Grant and Stewart Glen Palmer formed The James Boys in 1972 in Chingford, England . The duo's music has often been referred to as teen pop due to the age of the two singers . Before long, the boys got a record deal and was designed by Larry Page, the ex- manager of the group The Troggs and The Kinks , produced .
In May 1973, the single Over and Over first rose to number 39 in the English charts , and almost two months later to number 12 in Germany. In Sweden and Spain it was even a number one hit . While the song remained the only chart success in England, others followed in Germany. In November of that year Hello, Hello was there at number 46. In 1974, Keep Moving (number 41) and Up Until Now (number 46) entered the charts there.
The 1975 cover version of the 1957 Everly Brothers hit Wake Up Little Suzie was just as unsuccessful as the self-written 1976 single Don't Ever Leave Me (Baby) . The James Boys performed together until the mid-1980s.
