The Jazz Review
The Jazz Review was a jazz magazine published in New York City from 1958 to 1961. She was and is still known today for the high quality of her articles and was written by leading jazz critics and scholars. Founders were Nat Hentoff (who had a jazz in print column about the music industry, among other things), Martin Williams and Hsio Wen Shih . Johnson , Buddy Tate , Buster Smith , Jimmy Giuffre , Eddie Barefield and Walter Page (in the first issue).
Volume 1, No. 1, 2 (November and December 1958), Volume 2 (1959, No. 1–11), Volume 3 (1960, No. 1–9), Volume 4, 1961, No. 1 ( January).
