The Law Reports

Under the title The Law Reports , the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales has published judgments from England and Wales since 1875. If a case was published in the Law Reports , this reference should be given priority, which makes the Law Reports the quasi-official collection of judgments the English higher courts makes. In addition, the publisher's LexisNexis Butterworths own collection, the All England Law Reports , out. Cases prior to 1866 can be found in the English Reports , also published by the ICLR. Cases decided between 1865 and 1875 can be found in a collection also titled Law Reports (abbreviation LR ). From 1875 the collection was divided into several series:
