Mara Bergmann (born August 31, 1982 in Cologne ) is a German journalist , reporter and television presenter .

Life

Mara Bergmann studied journalism in Dortmund . She received her diploma with distinction. In 2004 she completed a traineeship at ZDF . Mara Bergmann has been moderating for the news channel n-tv since September 2017 .

Mara Bergmann was a reporter for ZDF for 11 years. She worked u. a. for the lunch magazine at the 2006 soccer world championship , at the 2008 European championship in Austria and Switzerland and as a car tester.

In 2008 and 2011 she presented ZDF.umwelt and ZDF.umwelt on the go . From 2009 to 2011 she could be seen on ZDF.reporter and ZDF.reporter . Until 2015 she worked as an editor and reporter for WISO .

In 2014 and 2015, Bergmann hosted the Sat.1 report series Der Große Warencheck . As a consumer journalist, she traveled to Ethiopia, South Africa, Indonesia, Mexico, Italy, France and the USA to find out how products that we consume in Germany are made.

From 2011 to 2015, Mara Bergmann presented the local time from Cologne on WDR television, alternating with Simone Standl and Henning Quanz . Before that she had presented the local time Ruhr for half a year . She was also the presenter in front of the camera for the WDR New Year's Eve broadcasts. Bergmann presented the fireworks at Cologne Cathedral from 2011 to 2014. In 2015, she also moderated the daily magazine Unser Tag on Sat.1. In 2016 she presented the weekly consumer magazine Service Team Germany - We test for you! at Sat.1 gold . Since 2018 the journalist can also be seen as an investigative reporter in K1 magazine .

Mara Bergmann also moderates events and works together with singer and vocal coach Pamela Falcon as a presentation trainer.

Furthermore, Mara Bergmann works as a radio play speaker a. a. for productions of the WDR and had guest roles in Die drei ??? and TKKG . She speaks documentaries, a. a. for ZDF, for 3sat and arte .

At the age of 26, medium magazin voted the journalist among the “Top 30 to 30”. In 2014, the specialist media portal Newsroom.de listed Mara Bergmann under “The 500”, making her one of Germany's top media women.

From 2012 to 2019 Mara Bergmann was a member of the jury for the International Emmy Awards . In 2009 she had a guest role in the movie Vorstadtkrokodile 2 .
