District rabbinate Regensburg
The Distriktsrabbinat Regensburg was built according to the rules of the Bavarian Jews Edict of 1813 in Regensburg .
In 1931 the Sulzbürg District Rabbinate , based in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate, merged with the Regensburg District Rabbinate to form the new Regensburg-Neumarkt District Rabbinate. After the retirement of Rabbi Magnus Weinberg on December 31, 1935, the Regensburg-Neumarkt Rabbinate was merged with the Bayreuth District Rabbinate and the Rabbinate Hof in 1936 .
tasks
The duties included advising on school matters, managing foundations and distributing alms . To finance the district rabbinates, levies were paid by the individual Jewish communities.
