District rabbinate Dittenheim

The district rabbinate Dittenheim was established according to the regulations of the Bavarian Jewish edict of 1813 in Dittenheim , a community in the Central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen in Bavaria .

The rabbinate was financed by a rabbinate foundation . When the last district rabbi Uri Veitel died in 1851 , the rabbinate was not reoccupied. For only three years, the district rabbi of Ansbach, Aaron Bär Grünbaum, acted as rabbinical administrator.

tasks

The duties included advising on school matters, managing foundations and distributing alms . To finance the district rabbinates, levies were paid by the individual Jewish communities.
