ACN, Inc. , based in Concord , North Carolina , is an American telecommunications company .
history
ACN was founded in 1992 by Robert Stevanovski, Greg Provenzano and twin brothers Mike and Tony Cupisz. In its early years, American Communications Network had sales of $ 2 million. ACN's original business was providing long distance phone calls to a company called LCI International. ACN took over the customer sales and marketing. That relationship lasted five years before LCI was acquired by Qwest Communications.
In 2008, ACN relocated from Farmington Hills , Michigan to Concord , North Carolina .
Corporate form
ACN is a network marketing company; only self-employed employees, also known as “independent entrepreneurs” (UU), are used to sell products and services. The remuneration is based on commission . This form of remuneration, in which a representative is paid month after month for a customer who has been referred, is called residual income and was introduced by ACN back in 1993. This is made possible, among other things, by the savings from not using advertising.
