District rabbinate Augsburg
The Augsburg District Rabbinate was established in 1862 in Augsburg , the capital of the Swabian administrative district in Bavaria .
After the founding of the Augsburg Jewish community in 1861, the Kriegshaber district rabbinate was relocated to Augsburg in 1862 . In 1870 the Altenstadt district rabbinate was dissolved and the two Jewish communities were placed under the Augsburg district rabbinate.
tasks
The duties included advising on school matters, managing foundations and distributing alms . To finance the district rabbinates, levies were paid by the individual Jewish communities.
