District rabbinate Schopfloch

The district rabbinate Schopfloch was created according to the regulations of the Bavarian Jewish edict of 1813 in Schopfloch , a market in western Central Franconia .

The Schopfloch district rabbinate was not set up until 1841 when the Ansbach district rabbinate was split up , which was repealed and reunited with Ansbach in 1872 after the death of rabbi Nathan Ehrlich.

tasks

The duties included advising on school matters, managing foundations and distributing alms . To finance the district rabbinates, levies were paid by the individual Jewish communities.
