District rabbinate Schweinfurt
The Distriktsrabbinat Schweinfurt originated in 1864 under the provisions of the Bavarian Jews Edict of 1813 in Schweinfurt . The Jewish Community of Schweinfurt was officially founded in 1863 and a year later the city became the seat of a district rabbinate when the Niederwerrn district rabbinate was relocated . The first rabbi was the district rabbi Mayer Lebrecht , who had been active in Niederwerrn since 1840 .
