Henning Quanz

Henning Quanz (born August 24, 1967 in Leverkusen ) is a German television presenter , journalist , filmmaker and speaker.

life and career

Henning Quanz grew up in Leverkusen. After graduating from Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium, he completed his community service at the Rheinische Landesklinik in Bonn. There he worked in a closed acute psychiatric ward - according to Quanz the most important preparation for his work in the media industry. In 1988 he moved to Cologne and continued to work as a nurse in psychiatry, as a musician and sound engineer during his studies. In 1992 he also took part in productions for WDR and began to work as a reporter and author for the current hour .

In 1996 Henning Quanz hosted his first own broadcast on WDR: Die Lokalrunde, a late evening show in Cologne's local time. For this he was honored as the best young presenter at the 24th regional radio program competition. This was followed by moderation tasks at VOX, Spiegel TV and ZDF, before he switched back to WDR in 2000 and took over the moderation of the broadcast WDRpunktKöln. Quanz has been moderating the daily regional magazine Lokalzeit from Cologne on WDR since 2007 .

Private

Henning Quanz is married and lives in Cologne with his wife and three children.
