Life
According to her own statements, after completing her studies in journalism and history at the University of Dortmund, she did an internship at the ZDF in Mainz . She worked as an editor, presenter and reporter for the television station VOX , worked as a presenter for Deutsche Welle TV in Berlin , the 3sat country magazine and the current hour of the WDR in Düsseldorf . Since 2004 she has moderated the local time from Cologne, previously from Düsseldorf for six years.

Standl is married and has two daughters.
