The Magic Mountain (French title: La Montagne magique ) is an animation film by the Romanian director Anca Damian from 2015. It tells the true story of Adam Jacek Winkler , a photographer, passionate mountaineer and anti-communist from Poland who fled to Paris in 1964 . With the beginning of the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan in 1979, he showed solidarity with the Afghan people. He leaves Paris to fight the Soviets in the Afghan mountains alongside Ahmad Shah Massoud .

The film was produced together with Polish and French companies. Various animation techniques are used in it, as well as Winkler's own photos, films and drawings.
The story is told from a first-person perspective. The narrators are:
- Jerzy Radziwiłowicz (in the Polish version)
- Christophe Miossec (in the French version)
- Jean-Marc Barr (in the English version)
The film received the MDR Prize at the 58th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film in 2015 .
