Monkeywrench is a side project of members of the American bands Poison 13 and Mudhoney .
In 1990 Poison 13 had some ideas for new songs. To make the music even more diverse, Poison 13's guitarist Tim Kerr turned to Mark Arm and Steve Turner (singer and guitarist for the grunge band Mudhoney ) to record the songs together. Arm and Turner agreed, and The Monkeywrench was born.
