The New Formalist is an American literary magazine devoted to the publication of poems in the sense of the New Formalism . The New Formalist was founded in 2001 and has since been published monthly in electronic form and once a year in print.
The magazine was edited by the American-Polish poet Leo Yankevich (1961-2018) and has published poems by many of the leading English-language writers of the New Formalism - including poems by Jared Carter , Keith Holyoak , Alfred Dorn , TS Kerrigan , Richard T. Moore , Joseph S. Salemi and Frederick Turner .
