The Note Jazz Magazine is a three-yearly publication from the Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection, affiliated with East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania .

The Note magazine of the Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection, which has been housed in the Kemp Library at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County (Pennsylvania) since 1988 , first appeared in 1990; The editor was initially Robert "Bob" W. Bush, later Matt Vashlishan; Production designer is Charles de Bourbon. The regular authors of the journal have included and still include a. Phil Woods , Bill Crow , Bill Dobbins , Bill Kirshner, Dave Liebman , Sue Terry and Matt Vashlishan. The magazine is dedicated to both musicians from the current jazz scene and, in the form of a historical perspective, the contemporaries and companions of Al Cohn , such as Bob Dorough , Med Flory , Gene Quill and Zoot Sims .
