criticism

The People or the Gun received almost exclusively positive reviews from fans. In particular, the fact that Anti-Flag released their latest album on an indie label ( SideOneDummy ) and that it was also a very successful record in terms of both content and music was positively rated by many fans.

“Anti-Flag are no longer smooth and mass-compatible on their new work, but treat themselves to a good portion of dirt and appear liberated and focused. The record starts with an angry bang [...] Also, 'You Are Fired' is musically knocked on the ears and lyrically settles accounts with the music industry and the former financier [ Sony BMG ]. "

- Whiskey-Soda.de

“You don't have to write much about the new Anti-Flag record. The musical experiments like percussion elements are left out this time. The seventh studio album preserves Anti-Flag in its essence. Raw, tech-savvy, well-produced punk rock, not too "in the face", but still so hard that it can undoubtedly be described as "angry". "
