The Seven is a real estate project in Munich's Gärtnerplatzviertel , Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district . Luxury condominiums have been built in a former municipal thermal power station .

description

According to media reports, these were "the most expensive apartments in town". The former heating power station Müllerstraße at Müllerstraße 7 was sold by the Münchner Stadtwerke . A 700 square meter penthouse with a surrounding terrace and 360 degree view has been built on the top two floors , which is said to have cost 14 million euros.

The five distinctive chimneys have been preserved from their earlier use. Were involved in the alpha invest Projekt GmbH and LBBW Immobilien Capital , a subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg . The property was designed by the Berlin architect Léon Wohlhage Wernick .

On the 14,000 square meter site, three complexes were embedded in 6,000 square meters of green space: an office and commercial complex along Müllerstrasse, a five-storey atrium building with around 80 apartments and the 54 meter high former machine tower with only 25 large luxury condominiums. It will have a two-story entrance hall with a 24-hour concierge ( doorman ) and a fitness studio. As of May 2014, the City of Munich will be operating a house for children, currently a crèche and kindergarten, in the facility. The underground car park is accessed via Corneliusstrasse.

Housing prices are said to have been in the range of 6,000 to 20,000 euros per square meter, which was up to five times the average price of new condominiums in the state capital at the time. As in other cities, a debate about gentrification is underway in Munich because of such construction projects in the luxury segment . The most expensive day care center in Munich was also built here.
