The Table Tennis and Pastimes Pioneer

The Table Tennis and Pastimes Pioneer was the first known table tennis magazine . It was published nine times in English in 1902 , edited by Charles Schaefer Rutlidge (* 1867 in London).

The first edition appeared on January 18, 1902, the last on March 15, 1902. Each Saturday, up to 20,000 interested parties could read the newspaper, which initially consisted of four pages and then eight pages. The newspaper was closed in March 1902 for financial reasons.

The content consisted u. a. from tournament reports (mainly from England), rules, pictures, cartoons and letters to the editor .
