The Warlocks

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Warlocks are an American alternative rock band.

Band history

The band was founded in 1999 by Bobby Hecksher in California and has seen multiple line-up changes. Currently (2013) the band consists of five members:

  • Bobby Hecksher (vocals, guitar)
  • JC Rees (guitar)
  • Earl V. Miller (guitar, drone machine)
  • Chris Di Pino (bass)
  • George Serrano (drums)

style

The music picks up elements of psychedelic rock and combines them with other stylistic elements. Due to the largely lo-fi sound of the released albums, a sonic similarity to the bands The Velvet Underground and The Grateful Dead, which initially and almost simultaneously also appeared under the name The Warlocks , is audible.
