The World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child

The World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child was launched by the Swedish government and several charities. It has been awarded since 2000.

The patron is the Swedish Queen Silvia , among others Nelson Mandela (died 2014), the East Timorese politician Xanana Gusmão and the former Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson sit on an honorary committee of “adult friends” .
