Theodor Hecht (also: Höcht ) (* 1650 ; † 1720 ) was a margravial Baden-Durlachian printer.

Life

Theodor Hecht probably came from Lindau and around 1699 applied in Durlach for the privilege of being a margrave of Baden-Durlach printer. In 1701 he married Elisabeth Karoline Holeis from Augsburg . Hecht's first known print, a tax regulation, dates from the same year . Hecht described himself on this work as “Fürstl. Hoff and Cantzley Buchtrucker ”. In 1702 a detailed instruction appeared, such as the Prince. Marggräffl.
