Theodor Weidner (actor)

Theodor Weidner ( 1814 in Frankfurt am Main - 1840 in Trier ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Theodor Weidner, son of the actor Julius Weidner , was trained as an actor by his father. He made his debut in Frankfurt with brilliant success and despite his youth a great artistic future was predicted for him.

After losing his bride prematurely, he died himself in 1840.

His sister, also an actress, was the mother of the actor Karl Weiser .

Remarks

  1. Eisenberg writes literally: "Sorrow and grief over the untimely death of his bride gnawed at his heart and drew him to the grave in Trier in 1840 [...]". That should mean a euphemistic description for a suicide.
