Theodore R. Schellenberg

Theodore Roosevelt Schellenberg (* 1903 in Garden Township , Kansas , † 1970 in Arlington ) was an American archival scientist .

Life

Schellenberg came from Kansas , studied history there and in the mid-1930s took up a position at the newly opened National Archives in Washington, DC , where he was, among other things, head of the department for agricultural authorities. After the Second World War, he headed the administration of the National Archives and dealt with issues relating to archive administration and archival education and training. In 1954 he supported the development of archives in Australia. He has published several works on archive management and evaluation issues.
