The Theoretical Chemistry Genealogy Project ( Genealogy Project Theoretical Chemistry ) is an online database in which the theoretical chemistry collected written and in related fields and dissertations in an academic pedigree are linked.

The project was initiated by Karl Jug in 2007 , released to the public in 2009 and was initially limited to the German-speaking area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), but is currently being gradually expanded.

In 2017, more than 3,200 entries were searchable. The two most important family trees go back to the chemist Friedrich Stromeyer (1776–1835) and to Carl Friedrich Gauß (1777–1855). Various search fields can be called up in the database. With a name search is obtained, for example, the university where the doctorate in the title of the dissertation, the doctoral year, or an expert ( PhD supervisor , English: Advisor ), the doctoral students and the number of their scientific offspring. For university lecturers, the short scientific biographies are also listed in the database.
