Theoretical cryptology

The Theoretical Cryptology is the branch of cryptology and deals with paradigms, approaches and techniques that are used to conceptualize solutions to natural cryptographic problems, define and provide.

More concretely, these include definitions of and relations between security concepts and Black Box - reductions and equivalences between cryptographic methods. This field also includes secure multi-party calculations and associated primitives such as commitment procedures , obligatory transfer and zero-knowledge protocols .
