Theresia Heimerl

Theresia Heimerl (* 1971 ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Heimerl studied German and Classical Philology as well as Catholic Theology at the University of Würzburg and at the University of Graz , where she did her doctorate in both subjects.

She is a professor for Catholic theology and religious studies at the University of Graz. In 2003 she completed her habilitation in religious studies. Her main research interests are religion in film and literature, European religious history and the tension between body, gender and religion.
