Thierhof (Lendersdorf)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Thierhof was an estate in the Düren district of Lendersdorf .

The manor was originally a fiefdom of Nideggen . Around 1479 the family Spies von Büllesheim was enfeoffed with the farm. More is not known. The so-called tower was demolished around 1840 when the grounds of the Hoesch factory fell.

The tower suggests a fortified complex. The name of the farm, namely Tiergarten, suggests that there was a fenced hunting ground in the Middle Ages .

In Lendersdorf, the street Im Tiergarten still reminds of the estate.
