Thiourethanes

Thiourethane is an imprecise collective name for several groups of substances in organic chemistry. In detail, these are:

• Thiolourethane , the thiolester of the unstable thiolcarbamic acid (H ₂ N – COSH)
• Thionourethane , the thione of Thioncarbaminsäure also unstable (H ₂ N-CSOH)
• Dithiourethane

The term thiocarbamate is also used as a synonym for thiourethane , although it also includes the salts of the two thiocarbamic acids.
