This Lonely Planet ( Japanese 椿 町 ロ ン リ ー プ ラ ネ ッ ト , Tsubaki-chō Ronrī Puranetto [= Lonely Planet] ) is a manga series by the Japanese artist Mika Yamamori , which was published in Japan from 2015 to 2018. It has also been translated into German and can be classified into the genres of romance, drama and shōjo .

The half-orphan Fumi Ohno lives with her heavily indebted father until he leaves the house for a long time to earn money. Because of the debts of her father, the house is soon given notice and the student has to quickly find a place to stay. So she finds a place with the young writer Akatsuki Kibikino, who hires her as a domestic help. But as much as Ohno tries, the mid-twenties doesn't seem to appreciate her efforts. His equally young editor Goro Kaneishi, however, is taken with the girl. After a while, and after Ohno has read into her employer's books, she learns to understand him better. Slowly they get used to each other and Mr. Kibikino protects Ohno. She feels more and more protected in her new home and both develop feelings for each other.

The series was published in Margaret magazine in Japan from May 2015 to December 2018 . The publishing house Shueisha brought out the chapters in 14 anthologies. The 9th volume sold over 150,000 copies in the first three weeks after publication and thus reached number 5 on the weekly Manga sales charts. The 6th volume sold over 230,000 copies, making it 80th of the best-selling manga volumes in the first half of 2017.
A German version with all 14 volumes was published by Kazé Germany from November 2017 to May 2020 ; the translation is by Dorothea Überall. An Italian version was released by Edizioni Star Comics.
