This Time Next Year ( English for Today in a year ) is a reality television show of the channel ITV , which was erstausgestrahlt on November 2, 2016 British television. The German offshoot was first broadcast on September 11, 2017 on RTL. In Germany the show is presented by Jan Hahn , the British show is presented by Davina McCall .

concept

In the program, various candidates present a personal project that they want to implement within a year. They then leave the studio through the “This Time” door, only to return a year later through the “Next Year” door - for the audience only a brief moment passes. Then the candidates tell how they achieved their very personal goal.

In May 2016 it was reported that RTL had secured the rights for a German adaptation after the program was traded as one of the highlights of the MIPTV 2016 television fair in Cannes. ITV Studios Germany, the German branch of ITV, is responsible for production. Four one-hour programs were produced for prime time.

In addition to Germany, the broadcast format was also sold to Australia (Network Nine), Denmark (TV2), Spain (Atresmedia) and Belgium (VRT).
