Thomas Batliner

Thomas Batliner (born April 3, 1959 ) is a Liechtenstein show jumper and trainer.

Life

Batliner was born in 1959 as the second of four children and the oldest son of the Liechtenstein lawyer , financial trustee and art collector Herbert Batliner .

Through his father, Batliner came into contact with equestrian sports as a child. At the age of 13 he took part in his first show jumping competition. In the course of his sporting career he completed a large number of tournaments, as well as several European championships. In 1988 he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in part . In 1994 he took part in the World Cup in The Hague .

Batliner, who also received a trainer license in 1988, is the owner of the Rhetaca riding facility in Mauren, which he opened in September 1989 . Between 1995 and 2005 he was co-organizer of the CSI Mauren, which took place a total of eight times during this time. Batliner is married.
