Thomas Hausmanninger

Thomas Hausmanninger (* 1958 ) is a German theologian .

Life

He taught as a professor of Christian social ethics at the University of Augsburg from 1997 to 2019. As a co-opted member of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, he worked a. a. in the BA / MA course "Media and Communication" and supervised v. a. the field of popular media (film, television, comics, popular literature). From 1995 to 2005 he was a regular guest lecturer for media ethics at the University of Television and Film Munich . His main research interests are fundamental questions of philosophical and theological ethics (justification of ethics), problems of intercultural ethics, media ethics and popular culture (including gender studies) and information and computer ethics. In the last few years he has devoted himself to a research project on comics and religion.
