Thomas Eric Hodges (born July 4, 1997 in Melbourne ) is an Australian volleyball player .

Career

Hodges began his career at Heathdale Christian College in his hometown. He then studied first at the University of Melbourne . With the university team he won the national championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012. He also took part in the U21 and U23 world championships in beach volleyball . He missed the U23 world championship in indoor volleyball due to an injury. He then went to the United States and spent a year at the University of the Pacific in 2014 before moving to the University of California, Irvine . After completing his studies, the diagonal attacker went to the Italian second division team Geosat Geovertical Lagonegro . With the Australian national team , he took part in the Nations League and the World Cup in 2018 . Then he was signed by the German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching . While in the DVV-Pokal 2018/19 the end came in the round of 16, Hodges reached the semi-finals with the club in the Bundesliga playoffs . He then moved to the Russian club Yugra Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk .
