Investment strategies
In the stock market euphoria from the mid-1990s, Thomas Müller's thesis arose that rule-based investment strategies are superior to other approaches.
Finally, the stock market bubble of 1999/2000 gave rise to a new analysis approach, the focus of which is the consideration that the results of technical equity analyzes can be significantly improved if the investment quality component is taken into account.
Based on such basic considerations, the performance analysis for stock selection and the “TM strategy” as a trend-following approach based on the 200-day line were developed in the early 2000s.
From 2005 onwards, Thomas Müller researched and published a lot in the direction of stock market cycles, with a focus on longer-term cycle forecasts. Since 2010, the focus has been on portfolio structuring, from which the “boerse.de Champions Defensive Index” (BCDI) emerged.

In November 2016, the "BCDI equity fund" designed by Thomas Müller was launched. This fund initially invested on the basis of the boerse.de-Champions-Defensiv-Index (BCDI) in a total of 25 international companies, whose shares have qualified as relatively low-risk investments. In September 2019 the “BCDI Aktienfonds” was renamed “boerse.de-Aktienfonds” and the portfolio restriction to 25 companies was lifted. As of November 2019, the boerse.de equity fund invests in 32 companies.
