Thomas Manegold (born July 8, 1968 in Saalfeld / Saale ) is a German author , musician , music producer and media designer .

Life

Thomas Manegold first worked as a stage technician at the Rudolstadt Theater after completing his training and A levels . From 1990 he lived in Bayreuth and studied philosophy and German language and literature here, was a stage technician at the Studiobühne Bayreuth , concert promoter and DJ and concept provider for La Nuit Obscure in the Top Act in Zapfendorf and co-founder of subKULTUR GbR . He wrote articles and interviews for music magazines and local editorial offices and trained as a radio journalist at the Academy for New Media in Kulmbach . Manegold has lived in Berlin since 2004 and works as a producer and media designer. As a DJ, he regularly spins at his event Göttertanz.

Artistic creation

Manegold released two albums with the industrial avant-garde project subHUMAN. In 1999 his first volume of poetry, Sonnentod, was published . His books Ich war ein Grufti and Himmelsthor were published by Edition PaperONE in 2006 and 2007, respectively . When Periplaneta Verlag appeared I was a goth and gate of heaven in new edition as well as the short story collection Crohn Dei and the audio book Pied Piper . This was followed in 2012 by the short story volume "Morbus Animus", in 2013 the episode novel "Conversations with Goth" and in 2016 "Heimathiebe", all also published by Periplaneta.

Thomas Manegold is present as an author on reading stages and regularly goes on reading tours, among other things with his tongue game program in 2010. Since 2005 he has been reading at the monthly reading stage Vision & Wahn . Since 2012 he has been a member of the Berlin reading stage "OWUL". In 2014 he presented his new solo program "The Sleeper in the City".
