Rhipsalis goebeliana is a species of plant in the genus Rhipsalis from the cactus family(Cactaceae).
description
Rhipsalis goebeliana grows epiphytically with drooping shoots of unlimited growth. The shoots are twofold. The bright green, narrow main shoots are twisted at their base and flattened above. They taper to their base, have a distinct midrib and are shallowly serrated on the edges. The narrow, elongated side shoots are slightly tapered and somewhat wavy. They are 8 to 13 inches long and 1.5 to 3 inches wide.
The slightly pink to white flowers are up to 1 centimeter or more long and have a diameter of 1.5 centimeters or more. The white fruits are occasionally tinged with pink. The species is not well known.
Distribution and systematics
Rhipsalis goebeliana is common in the Bolivian departments of La Paz and Cochabamba in the lowlands at heights of 200 to 250 meters.
It was first described in 1957 by Curt Backeberg .
