description

Rhipsalideae are usually pendulous, sometimes creeping or shrubby, but only exceptionally climbing epiphytes or lithophytes . Their round, angular or flattened shoots in cross-section are structured. The small, polysymmetrical to asymmetrical flowers that appear on the side of the shoot open during the day and often stay open throughout the night. Your pericarpell is bare and rarely covered with areoles . The fleshy, berry-like fruits do not tear open. The small to medium-sized seeds have no specific surface structure. The hilum and micropyle of the seeds are united with one another, a slimy covering is present.
