Thomas Mann Society Zurich

The Thomas Mann Society Zurich was on August 12, 1956 - the first anniversary of the death of Thomas Mann in - Zurich founded. She wants to keep Thomas Mann's intellectual legacy alive by researching and presenting the works of Thomas Mann. This is done by supporting the Thomas Mann Archive of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich , by holding literary events and by issuing and promoting publications. Since 1958 she has been publishing the pages of the Thomas Mann Society and is co-editor of the Thomas Mann Yearbook , which is published annually by Vittorio Klostermann .

The association works with the German Thomas Mann Society, based in Lübeck e. V. together. The society has around 350 members from numerous countries. Since 2011, Katrin Bedenig Stein, director of the Thomas Mann Archive in Zurich, has headed the society , which is organized as an association .
