Thomas Meyer (philosopher)
Thomas Meyer (* 1966 in Bernkastel-Kues ) is a German philosopher .
Life
He studied philosophy, modern German literature and classical philology in Munich . He did his doctorate in 2003 at the LMU Munich and completed his habilitation at the LMU in 2009 . He has received scholarships and visiting professorships at the Max-Weber-Kolleg, Erfurt, Karl-Franzens-University Graz, ETH Zurich, University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University Nashville, Wake Forest University Winston-Salem and Boston University.
His focus is on the history of ideas 19./20. Century, Jewish philosophy 19./20. Century and cultural philosophy.
