Thomas Pietsch

Thomas Pietsch (* 1960 ) is a German business IT specialist .

Life

Thomas Pietsch studied business administration at the Technical University of Berlin . After a time as a research assistant at the TU Berlin, Pietsch worked for consulting firms and IT service companies from 1988 to 1992, later as an independent consultant for large and medium-sized companies with a focus on information management, business process organization and communication.

In 1996 he was at the department of computer science at the TU Berlin with a thesis on the process-oriented evaluation of information and communication systems for Dr. rer. oec. PhD . After teaching positions at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Berlin (TFH) and at the FHTW Berlin, he was appointed professor for business informatics at the FHTW, now HTW Berlin , in 1997.

Pietsch is the author and editor of numerous articles and books. In research, Pietsch u. a. with information management and information engineering .
