Hans Johann Reinowski (* 28 January 1900 in Bernburg , † 3. January 1977 in Darmstadt ) was a German SPD - politician , writer and newspaper editor .

Life

Hans Reinowski attended elementary school from 1906 to 1914. In 1918 he became a soldier in the First World War . In 1922/23 he was chairman of the Socialist Youth Workers' Youth (SAJ) in Braunschweig and secretary of the " Falcons ". From 1923 to 1933 he worked as the SPD district secretary and from 1928 headed the “Rote Volks-Kino” in Braunschweig. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , he and his family fled into exile via Denmark to Sweden , from where he returned to Germany in 1947.

Shortly after his escape from Braunschweig, his report Terror in Braunschweig was published , which is one of the earliest documentations of National Socialist terror after the NSDAP came to power .

In 1947 Reinowski went to Darmstadt , where he became publisher and editor-in-chief of Darmstädter Echos . From 1969 to 1976 he was a member of the German Press Council . As a writer he published z. T. under the pseudonym Hans Reinow.
