Thomas Röhrich

Thomas Röhrich (born October 22, 1957 ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

Röhrich played in the offspring of TuS 04 Leverkusen and in the meantime at a school in the city of Centralia in the US state of Washington . In 1976 he took part with the German selection at the European Junior Championship in Spain and scored 2.5 points per encounter during the tournament. In Leverkusen he made the leap into the Bundesliga team, which was a member of the five years. He was part of the Rhinelander squad, which became German champions in 1978 and 1979, and Röhrich was also used in the European Cup. In July 1978 he played an international match for the FRG (friendly against Syria ). Röhrich also belonged to the team of the second division TuS Opladen for two years.

In 2002, Röhrich worked as a coach in the youth department of Bayer Leverkusen, and he also took care of national selections for the West German Basketball Association . In 2015 he took over the office of youth coordinator in the Leverkusen youth department.

In 2014 he published the textbook “Basketball Training for Every Day: The 365 Best Exercises”.
