Thomas Riccabona

Thomas Riccabona , sometimes incorrectly listed as Thomas Ricabona (born January 18, 1951 in Austria ) is an Austrian film architect and production designer .

Live and act

Riccabona graduated from Vienna's University of Applied Arts . There he attended the master class for stage design and film design, which he completed in 1974 with a diploma ( Magister Artium ). Since then he has worked as a production designer for national and international films and television productions.

At the side of the experienced film architect Otto Pischinger , the 24-year-old made his debut in the opera adaptation of Figaro's Wedding . Riccabona then worked in subordinate functions in the construction of English-language A-productions such as The Boys from Brazil , Steiner - Das Eiserne Kreuz II and the James Bond adventure The Living Daylight , but was in the middle of domestic films such as some crime scenes 1980s and two feature films at the beginning of the following decade, also worked as chief architect.

In addition to his artistic activity, Riccabona is also active as a businessman in his hometown of Vienna with his own company (since 1974) in the field of stage and grandstand construction.
