Thomas Sadecky

Thomas Sadecky is a Swiss table tennis player . He had his greatest successes in the 1970s, is a three-time national champion in singles and took part in a table tennis world championship.

Career

Thomas Sadecky played for Young Stars Zurich. At the Swiss National Championships between 1974 and 1985 he won a total of ten titles, namely three in singles, four in doubles and three in mixed:

  • 1974: Singles and mixed with Beatrice Luterbacher
  • 1975: single
  • 1976: Doubles with Marikus Frutschi and mixed with Vreni Lehmann
  • 1977: single
  • 1979: Doubles with Le Thanh
  • 1980: Mixed with Franziska Weibel
  • 1984: doubles with Thierry Miller
  • 1985: Doubles with Thierry Miller

In 1975 he was nominated for participation in the world championship , but did not come close to medals.

In 1981 Thomas Sadecky moved to the Swiss third division club TTC Baar.

Private

Thomas Sadecky was one of the investors in the Swiss private television broadcaster U1-TV, which was founded in 1984 . His son Alexander plays tennis.
