Thierry Miller

Thierry Miller (born October 13, 1966 ) is a former Swiss table tennis player .

Life

Thierry Miller was born in 1966. He came to table tennis in 1972. Urania Genève Sport was his first club. After four years he switched to Silver Star. Then he played in Germany, France and Sweden. Back in Switzerland he played at TTC Neuhausen and TTC Bulle . He is still one of the best Swiss table tennis players. In the German Bundesliga he was active in 1985/86 with TuS Vahr-Bremen and in 1997 with TTC Grünweiß Bad Hamm .

In 1982 he won a bronze medal at the European Youth Championships. From 1984 to 2007 he was Swiss individual champion 14 times . From 1981 to 2003 he took part in ten world championships , but never came close to medal ranks.

One of his greatest successes was beating the 1988 Olympic champion Yoo Nam-kyu at the 2009 World Cup .
