Urania Genève Sport (abbreviated UGS ) is a multi- sport Swiss club from Geneva . Urania Genève Sport won the Swiss Cup in 1929 and made it to the final again in 1932.
history
In 1896, the Club omnisport des Eaux-Vives created a football department from which FC Urania emerged. In 1922 the club merged with FC Genève and was given its current name. This makes Urania Genève Sport the oldest football club in the canton.
Other sports sections
In 1919 the athletics section was founded. The women's football section followed in 1921, field hockey in 1922, basketball in 1930, table tennis in 1941 and finally a handball section was founded in 1950.
